My 6th year at Snowbombing and this one may have been the best yet! Went out there with 12 mates, hired an amazing spot, great food, company and the boarding was amazing, until the snow turned to slush on the last day. Still... when you've got slush, it doesn't hurt when you stack it.

I hosted Shy FX's set on the Tuesday night alongside Mista Jam, Example, Ms. Dynamite and Joker. It went banana's in there! Shouts to everyone I caught up with over the week and an extra special shout to GQ who ripped it on the slopes with us for two days. The man has serious alpine skills!

Les Transandents festival with Skream

Love this festival, always the first one of the year. Played the main stage with Skream to about 6,000 strong. Big look and really enjoyed it. Also out to A-Trak who I had’nt caught up with for over 2 years, and also to Netsky, Joe Nero, Herve, Sinden, Joker & Nomad. Good times...

So yeh some of you may know that I run my own management company called ‘Mum’s The Word Music Group’ with my business partner Marc Sheiman. We did a merger with a larger firm last year who also look after some Arsenal and Ajax footballers. Every now and again they pop in the office and I get all excited. Robin Van Persie is not only one of the best footballers of our generation, but also a bloody nice fella. I told him if we win the Carling Cup, I’ll streak across the Wembley tuff! I won’t of course, but these players need some incentive every now and again ;-)

Back in early Dec my dearest football club the mighty Arsenal, we’re riding high on top of the league 4 points clear of The Filth (Chelsea), 5 points clear of The Money Bags (Man City) and one point ahead of the Fergie’s lot (Man U). Unfortunatly were not top anymore, but still going strong in 2nd place and still in all four competitions. So fingers crossed we can bring home some silverware this season. Please!!!! So after Sun & Bass in Sept we rolled straight onto the last festival of the season, Rod Da Bank’s annual Bestival in the land of 6 toes (sorry I meant the Isle Of Wight). I played with the Highness Of Contrast and also had The Nextmen, Breakage, Shy FX and David Rodigan from our roster on the bill. Always pure jokes down there... Rodi killed it, I could’nt be arsed with fancy dress and yes it rained naturally. It always does at Bestival! Some pics for you...

Just returned from the beautiful island that is Sardinia for this years week long Sun & Bass festival aka paradise! Took 14 friends with me this time and had a proper crack out there! Lots of sun, food, good music and great company! Big Chill festival 2010

Yes, just a little recap. Another great year for Big Chill, weather held up & it seemed busier than ever (which is a good & bad thing). Hosted London Elektricity's set on Friday as part of the Hospitality showcase. Amazing crowd, tent rammed out and Danny Byrd, Contrast, Netsky, AD & Dynamite all killed it as well. Then on Sat I jumped on to host Breakage on the Startburst stage. To say he destroyed it, would be a massive understatement! James torn the place down, which makes my job very easy when he's playing music like that! Also out to Toddla T, Amo, Daddy G, Redlight and loads more friendly faces I caught up with. Now for 2 weeks off gigs and a little holiday trip to Dorset to chill. Next stop Ibiza in 2 weeks. Word to your mother...

Been on abit of a eastern block adventure this month w/ London Elek & Nu:Tone, with festivals in Serbia, Moscow, Slovakia and Prague. Seen some funny sights on my way and have performed in a dust storm, deep in the Russian wilderness, on the wing of a aeroplane and lastly in a actual Slovakian castle! So its been emotional! Didn't take many pics this month which was a error, but was sent a couple of videos from Let It Roll festival in Prague - which was amazing! So just back from a long weekend and mini tour of Japan. Took the misses and linked up with the Colman family. Myself and Tony/London Elektricity played Triangle in Osaka and Unit in Tokyo. Both great gigs and lovely to hook up with all my Japanese family and friends. Had a wicked gig in Rome with Roni a few weeks back. Last time I went to Rome was in 1998 during a stoned Euro-railing month long trip and I have little recollection about the place apart from 9 pizza's, a mo-ped and purchasing fake Italian football merchandise.

Had last night off so as five of my mates are taking part in the GumBall Rally, we all passed through the launch party in some booozzie hotel in London. For those that don't know, the GumBall is a rally for the ubber rich and flashy which races across Europe and then finishes in NYC. This year's stars include the one like the mighty Hoff, plus Tony Hawk, Xzibit, Eve, Dizzee Rascal, Jade Jagger, Stringer from The Wire and loads more super minted characters. Snowbombing 2010 - match report

This was my 5th Snowbombing festival and for me possibly the best one yet! The snow was good, the weather and company amazing and the parties weren't bad either! I could write about this weeklong festival all day long, but its late and I can't be arsed, so check a few of the snaps below. Big shout to Marc Roberts who books the event, Gareth and all the Snowbombing crew. I played Monday night with Skream and was supposed to play with Breakage on Tuesday but lost my voice after seven gigs in a row. Writing this on my long ass mission back to the snow freezer that is England. Leaving OZ at 35C is hard! Anyway just finished a great 2 week tour on OZ and NZ, which saw The Nextmen and myself rock Auckland, Gisbon, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hobot and Sydney. Great shows and met some wonderful people. This time of year there were lots of artists touring and festivals happening so bumped into a ridiculous amount of UK talent over there. Got to shout DJ Marky, Dave Spectrasoul, Stamina, DJ Yoda, Krafty Kuts, Jack Beats, Bukem & Conrad, Skream, Benga, Roots Manuva, DJ MK, Chickaboo and sooo many more! Just got back from Paris. Its been three years since I was last there and I forgot how much I love that city. Played at Jungle Juice on Sat night with Spor. Had to be the hottest (as in temp) club I've played in EVER! I nearly fainted on stage about 4 times, totally fucked my new jeans and trainers, but its all in the good name of Jungle music! Big shout to all the Jungle Juice crew who were a great bunch and put on a rammed and extremly hot party. The following day avec my misses, we hung out all day and evening in Paris, eating frogs legs, onion soup and massive baguettes with ham and cheese... as you do. Infact we both ate a massive steak each and fell asleep in the park next to Le Place Du Concord (thats probably spelt wrong). I also rolled my jeans up to look extra french. 'Ce Bon'

The Nextmen LP launch & the last ever Friends & Family @ Cargo was a total roadblock with the que around the corner at 7.45pm! An amazing turnout for the last ever Friends & Family and what a way to go out - on top! Lots of lovely people, a banging BBQ and outside soundsystem, live art show from Daydream Network and then of course there was the music! Ross from PTH, The Nextmen and myself, Ms. Dynamite, High Contrast (played a mash-up set) and then Si & Frank & Kwasi played the last set. Big love to all the F&F crew and of course the main man himself... Mr. Tom Todd aka Toddington!

Big Chill 2009

I bloody love the Big Chill. I played there in 2005 & 2007 and both times the gigs have rated as some of the best I've ever done! 2009 was even better if thats possible! We had a 5,000 strong crowd of lovely people, who knew about good music - going fucking crazy to Nextmen's mash-up selection of reggae, soul, hip hop, dubstep, 80's classics, bootlegs, remix after remix and d&b. THEY ARE THE ORIGINAL MASH UP DJ'S! Don't ever get that twisted. Check the pics... and big love to all the Big Chillers. Till next year!

We hosted the legend and true gentleman that is Sir David Rodigan last night at our launch party for Hush Your Beak @ The Coalition in Brighton, and what a night it was! Rodi 'Ram Jam' Rodigan smashed down the club like a true, original pioneer, killing the dance with the freshest dub's from Jamaica and of course his original exclusive selection! Perhaps the most impressive DJ I've ever witnessed... and thats the truth! Also got to shout out another legend Earl Gateshead from Trojan Records who also played and to Fat Boy Slim for rolling through! Rodigan will be back in Brighton with us in 2010. "give me some signal!" Fucking amazing...

Just got back from an amazing tour of Australia and New Zealand which saw us play Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington. Massive thanks and shouts to all the promoters and people that helped put this tour on. We had 6 sell out shows in a row and then two festivals! Big love to Dion @ Loaded Dice, The Truth, Stuart @ Ministry, Dave Subtronics, Jeff, Seb Slice, Jeff Moving Fusion, D-Dog, Well Being, Patch, Pete Mac and all the Sydney crew, plus all my mates in over that side of the world. Just back from Moscow! Was my forth time to this strange and wonderful city, and maybe the best party yet out there! We played at 16 Ton and was a complete sell-out show. The following morning we tried to attend the 2nd World War Parade but didn't have tickets to get into the Red Square. We tried to bribe some Ruskie coppa in a massive hat - but no joy, plus he looked fucking moody. Anyway... check the pics...

Pukkelpop festival Belgium with High Contrast

Last week I was back on the road with Mr. Contrast, and back in Belgium for the Pukkelpop festival. We played between Sebastain (Ed Banger) and the legendary Carl Craig. The place was packed and once again Lincon brought the goodness. I have to mention the really rude guy we ran into in the artist production office. I think he was in control of the wrist bands and took about 15mins to give our bloody passes... a proper jobs worth! and ended up making us late going on. Tosser. I played Porto the following day with Tony Colman and was due to flight to Poland for Creamfields the following day. However the plane (pictured below) was late, so I missed my connecting flight. Shit happens though...

Was amazing. We played as the sun came up on the main stage after the likes of Jullet & The Licks, Afrika Babaataa and Manu Chao.. we were told 25,000 aprox in the crowd at 6am! Nutters... check the pics...

Snowbombing Festival Austria April 2008 with Scratch Perverts and DJ Marky

In early April we all headed out to play the superb Snowbombing festival in 'ze Austrian mountains'. Did some boarding, did'nt break anything and had a blast in the snow. I did two shows; Monday night with the Scratch Perverts. 1,500 people going nuts to a mash-up set of big, big tunes! Then on the Tuesday I had the honour of hosting 'Marky & Friends', and had the pleasure of MC'ing over a superb three way back to back to back session featuring DJ Marky, Marcus Intelex and Nu Tone. Was one of the best sets I've ever worked on! The tune selection was the bollocks! Shout to Marky, Nu:Tone, Marcus, Stanton Warriors, Scratch Perverts, Plastic Little, Dr Laub, Tom Coda, Ali B, Ben Westbeach, Calvin Harris, Marc Roberts, James Zabelia, Earl Gateshead and the Trojan Crew and everyone else I caught up with. Oh and big shout to my Brighton crew who repped 10 deep all week! Nice...
